Caring for wild birds in Winter – infographic

Winter can be a  hard time for wild birds, particularly when the ground is frozen. Food is often in short supply and they need to eat plenty to keep up their reserves to stay warm. Encouraging them into your garden, through feeding, not only helps them to survive but you will also have the pleasure of watching them and seeing how many species you attract.

By putting out the right mix of food, you will encourage many different varieties of wild birds, including sparrows, thrushes, robins, tits, finches, blackbirds, dunnocks, wrens and even woodpeckers and nuthatches.
