The Bonnie Gardener’s Growing Community – launching September 2025
Back in April, I asked for your thoughts on a new idea I’d been dreaming up – a dedicated space where gardeners and nature lovers could learn, connect, and feel supported through the seasons.
Many of you took the time to complete my questionnaire (thank you!) and I’ve taken on board your feedback. The result? The Bonnie Gardener’s Growing Community - launching this September.
If you’ve ever wished for somewhere to ask a question without fear of “getting it wrong”, to learn hands-on skills at your own pace, and to connect with like-minded people who share your love of nature, then this is for you.
What is The Growing Community?
The Growing Community is a monthly membership for anyone who wants to take part in gardening, nature-based activities and feel confident caring for their outdoor space. Whether you have a garden, a few pots on a balcony, or a local wild space that you enjoy engaging with every day, you’ll find practical support, seasonal tips, and inspiration here.
Here’s exactly what’s included:
WhatsApp group - daily discussions, weekly tips, and a friendly, supportive space to share wins, troubleshoot challenges, and swap ideas.
Regular zoom sessions - live calls focused on seasonal gardening activities, from pruning and propagation to planting for pollinators.
Members-only online hub - a growing library of practical resources, guides, wild recipes and foraging tips, and seasonal checklists to help you get the best from your garden and outdoor spaces all year round.
In-person meet-ups (Central Scotland) - optional garden visits, and hands-on learning opportunities to bring the community together.
15% discount on planting plans and garden designs.
Cost: £12.50/month or £125/year
Why I’m creating this space
As a garden designer and horticulturist, my job doesn’t stop once the plants are in the ground. The truth is, the real work (and joy) of gardening comes after that - nurturing, observing, and responding to what your garden needs through the seasons.
I’ve seen so many people lose confidence because they’re not sure what to do next, or because life gets in the way and the garden feels like “too much”. My aim is to give you the knowledge and encouragement to keep your garden thriving - without overwhelm, pressure, or jargon.
Gardening is more than a hobby. It’s a way to connect with nature, care for your own patch of the earth, and find calm in the middle of busy modern life. I truly believe that when we learn together, we grow together - and that’s the heart of this community.
