Border Overhaul & Redesign - Bearsden

This client asked me to completely redesign the planting in their front and side gardens.  The existing planting was uninspiring, overgrown and did not complement the beautiful art-deco style of this period home.  In the front garden, we removed the majority of the existing shrubbery and planted it up with a simple green and white planting scheme consisting of Juniper ‘Skyrockets’,  mass plantings of Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’ and small evergreen shrubs such as Sarcococca and Vibrunums for year-round interest.  In the side garden, we re-purposed some of the existing Buxus topiary from the front garden, trimmed it into shape, and planted lots of bright foliage plants such as Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’, Heuchera ‘Palace Purple’ and Euphorbia ‘Silver Swan’.

“We were looking for someone that could both design and then reshape the flower beds in our Bearsden back garden to a very high standard. We had recently read an article about the Bonnie Gardener in the local press and were so enthralled that we immediately contacted Nicola to ask if she could come up with an eye-catching layout that would make us want to spend more time outside. And we were not disappointed. The outcome is wonderful – so much so, that Nicola has recently completed some re-modelling work in our front garden which includes a small woodland pathway. Overall, our gardens have never looked better – and this is all down to the Bonnie Gardner. Great vision and ideas, expertly executed.”
