Get Your Garden ready for 2025

Beautiful gardens rarely happen by accident. Those that shine through every season are planned and cared for every month of the year.

I want to help you create your own beautiful garden. That is why I am launching my ‘2025 Garden Assessment and Action Plan’ – a one-to-one consultation with me in your garden, lasting approximately one hour. This will be followed up with a short written report for you to keep and refer to.

We will cover the following topics during the consultation, and in the follow-up report:

1. How to make your winter garden shine

2. Your garden’s transition from winter to early spring

3. Looking ahead and planning 2025’s summer and autumn garden

Why assess your garden in winter, I hear you ask? I believe winter is the season when the magic happens. It is when our creativity comes alive and we have time to dream and create plans for the following season – it is the perfect time of year to plan a garden.

Nature reflects this process - many plants are resting under the ground, getting ready for the spring. This allows us to look at the bare bones of the garden and assess if it needs more interest and structure during the winter months, such as winter flowering plants or evergreen shrubs. We can also look at the garden’s transition into spring, perhaps with early flowering bulbs that provide a much needed injection of colour when the days are short. While next summer may feel like a long time away, if you want a beautiful garden with thriving plants, it is important to look ahead and start planning your dream garden now.
